Later Vermont's famed "mud season" passes quickly and the hills turn green. May and early June are ideal times to getaway before the busy summer season. Lodgings and attractions are less crowded.

Vermont Maple Open House Weekend - State-wide
The Ninth Annual Vermont Maple Open House Weekend will be held at sugarhouses throughout Vermont. It is your chance watch maple syrup being made (weather permitting) and often sample maple products. For locations visit their website.

Vermont Maple Festival -
St. Albans
