Visit a Vermont State Park, Forest,
or State-owned Historic Site FREE!

Vermont Days 2009, June 13th and 14th, is the weekend to celebrate the arrival of summer and enjoy a free sample of Vermont’s excellent fishing, state parks, forests, and historic and cultural resources.

  • All weekend, all Vermont State Park day areas, state forests, state-owned historic sites, and the Vermont Historical Society Museum (Montpelier) will be open for FREE admission. 

  • Saturday, June 13th is free fishing day – the day everyone is encouraged to go fishing in Vermont (no license required). 

  • Sunday, June 14th, is a second day of free admission to state parks, state-owned historic sites, and a perfect day to explore Vermont's lively forests.

Vermont ForestsVermont Days offers a great chance to gather with family and friends and discover part of Vermont that may be new to you, or reconnect with a place you haven’t visited in a while. Or find yourself at your favorite Vermont spot, simply enjoying a free day. Locations and events are open and free for everyone – both residents and nonresidents.
